About Me

Four years ago I put my dream job as a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) on hold for what I consider a promotion…a job as a stay-at-home mother. Actually, I prefer the term homemaker because it better describes my role. I don’t just stay at home mothering. I make our house a home by providing my children with a loving, nurturing atmosphere all while making sure we can survive on one income. My experience as an occupational therapist has come in handy as I provide an enriching atmosphere for my children and problem-solve my way around a tight budget.

I have four lovely, intelligent, hilarious and remarkable children. It’s not easy to get everyone’s needs met, but it is an absolute joy trying! Starting this blog was initially a selfish venture because I had been trying to practice the Law of Attraction by writing about the things I loved about my new role as a homemaker in order for it to become a long-term role. When I gave up working in the schools, I had to take random assignments working in homecare, which was a blessing at the start because we still needed the extra income. Eventually, as the kids became more involved in extracurricular activities, even the small amount I worked became a challenge to my ideals. This summer, I figured out a way to make my homemaker job consistent while also realizing my dream to travel. I was able to take an assignment in Arizona as a travel OT and I took my family with me across the country. The plan worked out because my husband is a teacher, so we coordinated my travel assignment to last the length of his summer vacation in order for him to stay home with the children. My husband and I were able to save enough money for me to not have to work over the school year! So, now I want to continue attracting wonderful things into my life by sharing all of the positive things that happen and the projects and activities I am proud of doing.
